How we think about safety

Safety in a school for Playgroup to Class 5 isn’t about a one-time checklist — it’s a daily practice woven into how routines are designed. Our approach has three layers:

Campus facilities

• Age-segmented classrooms for Playgroup and Pre-Primary, with calmer routines and dedicated quiet/nap zones.
• Primary classrooms for Class 1 to Class 5, organised for structured learning, group work, and reading.
• Outdoor play areas separated by age band, supervised by trained staff during break periods.
• Reading and art corners in primary classrooms.
• Clean dining and snack areas with supervised meal/snack routines.
• Washrooms designed for young children with supervision and regular hygiene checks.
• Secure perimeter and entry at the main gate.

Daily safety routines

Drop-off and pick-up

Children are only released to approved guardians listed at the time of admission. Pick-up windows are supervised. Parents using school transport have a designated waiting and boarding area.

Visitor controls

Every adult on campus signs in, wears an identifier, and is supervised. No unannounced visitors during school hours.

Supervised movement

Children don’t move around the campus alone during the school day. Movement between classrooms, washroom, and play areas is staff-supervised.

Hygiene checks

Washrooms, water dispensers, and dining areas are checked regularly through the day. Children are reminded about handwashing routines, especially before snacks and after washroom visits.

Trained staff

Our team is selected for warmth, patience, and experience with young children — not just academic credentials. Specifically:

• Early-years teachers with classroom experience in Playgroup to UKG.
• Primary teachers familiar with CBSE-aligned approaches and the developmental needs of Class 1-5.
• Trained classroom assistants supporting Early Years and Pre-Primary sections.
• Bus attendants accompanying every school bus route.
• Reception and admin staff trained in visitor and parent communication protocols.

Emergency readiness

Even with the best routines, things can go wrong. Our preparation includes:

• Basic first-aid readiness on site with trained staff.
• Clear escalation path for any incident — class teacher to coordinator to head of school.
• Recorded emergency contact numbers for every family, kept current.
• Regular rehearsal of evacuation and assembly routines.
• Transparent communication with parents on any incident affecting their child — same day where possible.

Transport safety

For families using school transport, the daily safety routine continues on the bus:

• GPS-tracked buses — routes and times are visible.
• Trained attendant on every route, in addition to the driver.
• Children only boarded at designated pick-up points and only released at designated drop-off points.
• CCTV-enabled buses where applicable.

Allergy and dietary awareness

For Playgroup to Class 5 especially, food safety and allergy awareness matter. We collect dietary information at admission and ensure class teachers, snack supervisors, and bus attendants are aware of any allergies for children in their care.

What to check on your campus visit

If you’re visiting any school for a young child, use this safety checklist:

• How is the main gate controlled? Who can walk in?
• Where are the play areas, and how are they supervised at break time?
• Are washrooms clean, child-scale, and supervised?
• How does drop-off and pick-up actually work? Visit at that time if you can.
• What’s the first-aid setup? Who is trained?
• How are unwell children handled during the day?
• What happens if you can’t make pick-up — what’s the backup process?
